This session will introduce the basics of the implementation of a telehealth program into clinical practice. We’ll discuss legal, cultural, technical, and operational needs for successful telehealth programs in practice including marketing, platform selection, standard operating protocols, communication, and clinical workflows.
This program has been approved for 1 hour of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval.
RACE-Approved Continuing Education
This session will introduce how to provide telehealth with a high standard of medical care in clinical practice. We’ll discuss how to set up clients for success in a virtual visit, how to coach pet owners through obtaining patient medical data at home, and what new technologies are available to get high-quality medical data in a telehealth setting. We’ll also go through multiple real life medical case studies using telehealth and connected care.

RACE-Approved Continuing Education
This session will introduce point of care diagnostic devices, and how they can be used in multiple clinical care settings from telehealth to in-hospital. We’ll discuss a variety of devices used in practice, from smart stethoscopes, wearable devices, to litterboxes that send text messages. Obtaining high quality medical data is critical to successful telehealth practices, and we’ll discuss how these devices can be used by pet owners at home to provide the remote medical team accurate quantitative data to make better medical decisions for a variety of conditions.
This program has been approved for 0.5 hour of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval.
RACE-Approved Continuing Education
This session examines common inefficient clinic workflows, including curbside, dropoff, and normal in-clinic appointments. We discuss how these workflows can be made more efficient through use of telehealth as a replacement for phone calls, check-ins, history taking, discharges, and more.
